Late morning on the north coast.
Someone is slicing melon on a table that has seen a thousand mornings. The water is the colour of a bottle held up to the light, and the only plan is the hammock.
We bottled that hour. Not the sunset postcard — the bright, juicy eleven o'clock when the day is all yours.
