Trim the Wick

Before lighting your fragrance candles, always trim the wick to about 1/4 inch. 

Burn the Candle

For example, a 3-inch wide candle should burn for at least 3 hours but no longer than 4. This helps the wax to melt on top, which stops tunneling and sets up the candle for future uses.
